Him and I need to have a discussion. These are some topics I feel need to be discussed:
1. I want intimacy. Emotional and physical intimacy. Without that, nothing is really worth it regardless of if we are monogamous or not.
2. You mentioned something about us “not meeting half way” I figured that this had something to do with emotional intimacy, but am unclear on how.
3. I am interested in other people. And I have not held back.
4. This has never been a consideration or an issue in my life before. (aside from my ex possibly considering seeing other people, but he went about it all wrong… dishonesty!!)
5. I think I can be happy with one person… never really had the chance to figure that out though.
6. I would like to and realized that I have always wished I could talk about other relationships to my bf’ds.
7. I have always thought this was selfish… that it was a way for one person to have their cake and eat it too.
8. Honesty is huge.
9. Guidelines need to be brainstormed and WRITTEN down.
10. It will take time for me to figure out all those guidelines and where I stand…. All of this is dependent on 1 & 2 above.
11. It is important for me to understand where you stand – and for you to not hold back on that either. I am strong, and I can take whatever you throw at me, so long as you understand that I have the power to then make my own decisions, and tell you of them.
12. Security. We should talk about that word.
13. What we want from a relationship in itself. What we want it to ADD TO OUR LIVES.
